Say Hello to HubSpot's New Leadin Upgrade

The room is quiet, aside from the slight murmurs and whispers of eager marketers. The lights are dimmed and you can feel the energy of anticipation bursting throughout the audience. The announcements of HubSpot’s newest product features and upgrades have begun at the annual Inbound Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.

Now, if you know HubSpot like we know HubSpot, then you're probably aware they are never one to disappoint. And today, was certainly no different. We will dive into all the latest and greatest HubSpot announcements in separate blog posts, but for this one, were here to give you the scoop on one upgrade that we are exceptionally ecstatic about: Leadin.

What is Leadin?

Leadin is a FREE (Yes, free) plugin used on WordPress and other CMS sites with the intended goal to track individual contacts’ journeys through a website and help convert visitors into leads and subscribers. For each known contact, Leadin can:

  • Report the source of their visit
  • Provide history about their interactions within the site
  • Provide detailed performance analytics for your website so you understand how you're doing over time
  • Enable you to put up a simple conversion form to catch prospects even when they're leaving the site

Uhm, can I get a hell yeah to this seemingly clever feat of software engineering?!

Today, HubSpot didn’t just put a toe, leg or arm in the water...they straight up dunked all the way under by announcing Leadin will now work on ANY CMS website, not just on the almighty and much loved WordPress! The good news didn’t stop there. We should also expect HubSpot to pave way for more features to be added to Leadin over the coming months, including advanced email functionality. For HubSpot Partners and agencies, Leadin represents choice and the ability to work with smaller clients to help them create a solid inbound marketing strategy.

Who is a good fit for this upgrade?

Well, if you’re new to inbound marketing, this is certainly right up your alley. However, if you’re a novice, a legit marketing OG, an individual blogger, maybe a small business who is not ready to purchase marketing software quite yet or even a big dog who has to terminate HubSpot due to budget or red tape constraints, Leadin is relevant and awesome for all walks of marketing life. 

This new upgrade not only provides commendable transparency, but the fact that it is free is just icing on the cake. Our experience with Leadin here at Stratus has been indisputable, to say the least. Even the set-up has been a doddle - in fact, almost non-existent. The first time we received a form submission, the potential value of Leadin was instantly obvious.
