Banana Republic ran a promotion this Thursday to try to capitalize on Twitter’s IPO outside of the stock market. They ran a campaign which asked their Twitter followers (appropriate huh?) to tell them why they love Twitter. Five people won a $100 Banana Republic gift card for their tweets. The result? Banana Republic was one of the accounts that got the most tweets about the IPO with 400 tweets, coming in just behind CNBC, CNNMoney and NYSE Euronext, according to Mashable.
