School's back, and we're kicking our blog into high gear to provide material so educational... so priveledged, that we can't believe we're giving it away for free. Whether this particular post will provide all of that is up for discussion at a later date.
Last week, we discussed the latest news from Freosks to CPR tests, but we wanted to use this week's space to unveil our groundbreaking new logo.
At Stratus Interactive, we're creative thinkers—so unboxed by the constrictions and norms of traditional companies, that we wanted to reimagine our entire company from the ground up, and that starts with our logo.
We want a design that screams innovation, revolution.
We want a design that our clients would be proud to partner with, and customers can look up to as a leader in our community.
We want a design that shows we're experienced, yet focused on where the future of inbound marketing and web design are headed.
So, without further delay, here is Stratus Interactive's brand new logo:

It's a game changer, we know. But there's something a little too familiar about it, something "bare bones," but let's come clean... We actually stole this entire design from Yahoo's earth-shattering new logo. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, isn't it?
Yahoo's new logo was a result of their marketing effort, "30 Days of Change" which was set to debut a new logo for all things Yahoo. And after thirty days of teasing, and hinting, and fluffing, we're left with… meh... and not much else. This new logo wasn't exactly the game-changer people expected. Heck, it barely changed at all. It'd be one thing without the hype, but after the CEO published an article stating how much she's "geeking out" over the new logo... #Nahoo!

Just saying, Yahoo, just saying
Other Things You May Have Missed?
At World's End? It's Already Here
If you were paying attention to any form of social media this week, you probably came across LG's meteor prank:
The story goes like this: Job seekers show up to this interview, where there's an LG Ultra HD television behind the interviewer—dressed to look like a window to the outside world… at least, the last few moments of what was outside world. Just right, or too far? And are those South American actors? That's the debate raging against the tech giant. Whether or not the prank was scripted , it's certainly bringing a lot of attention to LG. Hopefully, it's positive attention.
A Winning Co-mmercial
Petco's going all "Apple" on us. The newest ad, 'Copilots' is a poignant take on the special relationship between an animal and its owner. The keys: Soft speaking voice? Check. Gushy sentiment? Check. Making me feel like I need a Petco product? Nailed it. The genius here, is the humble approach and the inclusion of the repetitive "co" from Petco's name to create images and ideas around "companions, cohabitants, copilots, coexistence, connection." Does it work? We think so.
