Ever Wonder What People Try to Bring on Airplanes?
Wonder no more! You can now satisfy your curiosity by following the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on Instagram. After spending 5 years just blogging about their confiscated objects, the TSA has taken their social media presence to the next level by launching an Instagram account in which they share pictures of dangerous objects (weapons and the like) which have been confiscated at various airport checkpoints across the country, reports Mashable.
Goodbye Google Reader, Hello Digg Reader
This week Google officially retired their Google Reader feature. For those of you unfamiliar with the Google Reader, it allowed “millions of users to quickly scan and read every story from any number of Web sites in a single, constantly updated stream”, says The New Yorker. The millions of users who are missing the Google Reader won’t have to wait much longer for a substitute with the retirement creating a whole new product category of replacements. The frontrunner and intended successor to the Google Reader is the Digg Reader.
Toyota Feeds Sandy Victims
A few weeks ago, Toyota launched a cause campaign to help provide meals to those still recovering from the damage done by Superstorm Sandy. For every time someone views Toyota’s “Meals Per Hour” video on YouTube, they will provide one meal. Their goal is to provide 1 million meals by July 19th and as of July 3rd the video had over 930,500 views. Help them reach they goal and watch the video today!
Who Missed Zack and Screech!?
Are you losing sleep over your favorite 80’s and 90’s TV shows ending? NBCUniversal is teaming up with Lion Forge Comics to create retro comic books based on your favorite television series such as Saved by the Bell, Miami Vice, Airwold, Knight Rider and Punky Brewster, according to Mashable. Get ready to relive the 80’s and 90’s and welcome back some of your favorite television characters.
